i hope everybody's up and healthy and in spore because im gonna hold a gathering!! woots. pls spread word to all 06s56ians if you know they dont read the blog. all are welcomed.

its probably gonna be 15th aug(tentative), 6pm! im still thinking whether i shld get a chalet or my house. i would very much love to host it at my place, BUT my tv isnt working! let me see what i can do about tt because it would be a big part of our entertainment, and i can set up a wi or smt. :))
anyhow, if at my place, cheaper also. probably buffet style yeah. so still must chip in abit but not as much as booking a chalet! so guys! make the 15th avaliable k! i tell yall so early, then yall can prepare and book it down! army boys, pls say you can! majority wins ok.

the reason for this gathering is because, singying and i are going overseas to study in sept. she's gg ireland and im gg scotland. i guess there are others gg overseas too so lets meet soon k! anyway, i'll be on a hol from the 28th of july to 10 aug. so ya.

SO...s56 finally met up! and we couldnt stop talking about army. -_- well its okay! we dont mind! since thats all the guys have been experiencing for the past weeks while we ppl here, get to enjoy freedom.(whoops) :) oh!The ghost stories got me creeped up though. When i walked home, i had to call someone and talked to him to 'un-scare' myself. haha. Just some pictures below! Just to follow up on chuan lui's post, working at the hotel was sure exciting and fun.

The supervisors were really stressed - running around checking on orders, checking on delivery, checking on us etc etc. The best part was where we thought we were through with the orders and the supervisors were left with only 3 casual labor and last minute orders came in. And then we got wrong addresses. And wrong numbers. And wrong drivers. Exciting eh?

Of course there were learning opportunities. I (maybe we) learned a lot about hotel business, and a lot about people management from our supervisor too (and the difference between butter knife and a dinner knife).

Hi it’s me again!

So me and some others have been working in Conrad Centennial Singapore for the past few days (and still counting). Walked in and out of the kitchen, pastry, managerial offices etc. and not to mention, the dreaded loading bay.

So being attached to the gift shop for now, the pastry and kitchen are top on the list of my visited places at work. All the chefs hard at work rushing cakes, turkeys and every other thing else. Some, complaining, very grouchy and look as if they’re going to use the knife in their pocket to kill the turkey. Ooops. o.O

Of course there’s the business section and so on. Some very courteous and kind, and look half-dead after the guest leaves. Some treat it will due pride and showing their passion to each and every customer or guest.

So service, or food making, a quote was created within me.

You may feel you’re at the top of asia, in a top hotel with top employers and top employees creating top service or top products. You get top rankings, top ratings, and top awards. But you’re never really at the top, unless all the top people, do everything, from the bottom of their heart.

This is not a criticism at Conrad. They’ve been excellent to be honest. Great passion. Just an example. Get the idea and that will do. Well enjoy your remaining holidays and have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year! =)

van here! since our blog chairman xl is busy with his pool comp i shall hog this blog and blog as if its my own blog :)

isnt the weather great today? it was a Rainy Day aka a Slp-Whole-Day day for moi. i woke up at 1 pm and slept again at 5 pm! i just couldnt resist my carnal instincts to take an afternoon nap. (fyi, humans are programmed biologically to slp in the afternoon)

for the ill-informed, we had our class chalet on 4 5 6 dec. it was so happening man! the guys played winning 11 the whole time. the number of xx chromosomes present were soooooo pathetic. it actually numbered 0 on the first day! :s and we finished watching LOTR! whoo wad an achievement :::::) we also discussed impt issues such as
a) hu to vote as new ct rep. those present know hu to sabo alr (:
b) where to go for jts next yr. preferably somewhere expensive and den dun stj them like our snrs hahaha and last but definitely the most impt
c) ECONS PROJECT. i bet everyone except jh forgot abt that rite rite rite. dun bluff i know u cant even rmb hu ur grp members are *gives knowing smile

so anws. everyone hu went overseas surrender ur presents on the first day of sch!!!! or u are outta s56. haha. and with the exception of jh & yw the rest PLS STUDY FOR R PAPERS PLS STUDY FOR R PAPERS PLS STUDY FOR R PAPERS. and do ur maths tutorials so that mr teo can gossip more with us next yr! :D

xl, cl, jh, cs, yf and zwing and i have also been working at conrad hotel. so they are rich and u can ask them for a treat. im sure they would gladly give u one :) :) no i would have lost all my earnings at mahjong alr so dun bother asking me. bares teeth

yong wen and i were in the boys toilet behind the hall today afternoon. well, we were gonna change into pe and go do some exercise. anyway thats not the point.

well we were stripping outside, not within the cubicles but still within the toilet dun worry, yup this girl jus came walking straight in. and at that point of time, our dear kuddy's pants were halfway down.

Breaking news

After the shocking news yesterday ( read www.we-all-need-sleep.blogspot.com) , the ministry has once again declared shocking news.

Project Work has been abolished.

Yes this seems so, according to the reports we have recieved so far, this scheme that has been implented for the past 5 years so far, has indeed been cancelled.

One official, who declines to be name (yet again) says that, " this scheme has not been beneficial. We've recieved numerous reports on its ineffectiveness, sleeping members etc."

When quried on the ministry's ever fluctuating stand on education policies, he said : " we must be flexible. what's gd ysterday, may not be so today" when probed further, he whispered: " actually hur, its just the new education minister X.L wants to suck up to the students only. everyday change here change there, he think we so free ar. Now u see la, we have to arrange PE teachers to do other things. so troublesome."

The new policy comes as a relief to students, who have been suffering under it.

The World's Smallest Functional Revolver

At just 2.16-inches, the SwissMiniGun (the name says it all ^^) is the world's smallest functional revolver, complete with ammunition - shoots tiny 0.35-inch long bullets.

This miniature Swiss-made revolver and its ammunition are painstakingly crafted using watchmaking technology. Looks like the little shooter could do some damage, propelling that tiny slug at 426.5 f/sec. out of the muzzle.
